Okkkkkkkkkkk so let me try to pick up from where I left this blog at...

Ok so I kind of abandoned this blog for like haha.... > 3 months? I'm so cool for that -_-"

Let's see.. I was absolutely busy on studying for exams and finishing off last minute papers for my uni subjects in November. This essentially meant sleepless nights and stress filled days. I still had work until the 27th November I believe... then I had to pack to go to Korea!

I had kind of bad skin on the day of my flight (2nd December). Yea anyway....... My flight was delayed by 1/2hr or so, so I got to Korea later than I expected to. Although, it didn't make much difference in the end. Plus it took sooooo long to get my luggage from the ... place you get your luggage -_-" after you get off your flight........... yea.... When mine came around people started to look at it -__-" I guess it can't be helped because I bought, from my last trip to Japan, a pink coloured luggage case from Samsonite.

For some reason I've always hated walking through the arrival gates. Everyone's looking for someone but it just feels funny like everyone's watching you. Funny though -_-" not like anyone was there to pick me up <_< heh -__-"

So I took the airport bus after purchasing a ticket from the counter. At that time I didn't know but if I did I would have taken the bus that went to the back gate of Ewha Womans University. So in any case, I took the one that went to the actual station. The problem is, if you don't notify the driver, they'll just drive passed the stop. That is what happened to me -_-" so I got off the next stop and I soooooooooooooo very much regretted that. I had a 20kg luggage case, 12kg small luggage case, a thick jacket in hand, my netbook and my handbag/bag. The amount of the things I brought here in Korea isn't funny at all <_< I think it was close to weighing as much as me!

So I had to go through the damn station because there were no lights to go across there. Then on the other side, I needed to go up the stairs. I was so pissed off and I didn't know how I was going to get up the stairs. It was horrible... I stood there for a minute before some man decided to help me with my 20kg luggage case -_-" I was so thankful for that but then the next part was trying to lug all that to the dormitory. It was so difficult because the road isn't exactly straight... plus before that, I wanted to catch a taxi but no taxi would take me because they wouldn't have made much money and too much of a hassle. I made it to the dormitory without trouble because of my planning. ELC actually told me (and probably the myriads of other people) to go through the parking lot. But obviously I wasn't going to go all the way there, plus I didn't even know where that was. So when someone came around, I went in too ^^ Got to the office fine and checked-in. Had to fill in I think three forms. Also asked for a blanket for AUD$3 because I didn't have one at the time. If you are staying for a long time and a thin blanket isn't enough, I advise you to get one from gmarket. Which is exactly what I did during my second week.

Anyway, that was also the same day I met my roomie who also happened to be from Sydney but she's Korean who just wants to improve her writing skills. The following day I took the Korean placement test. Skipped some hard questions for which I did not understand because of the vocabulary. Also had to do a speaking test which was difficult not because of the question but rather a result of my last study of Korean being in 2008 <_< I got into the level I wanted to; level 2 - class B.

Spent the next of those few days eating by myself at nights because roomie wanted to eat in ~_~.

Started school on the 8th December, also bought my textbooks with some difficulty. Since then class has been difficult at times but it's less daunting these days. Slowly I am getting used to Korean being taught... in Korean. Like no English at all. I have just a few friends but most of which are leaving by the end of the semester.

I am also part of the song/singing club......... which is mostly the reason why these days I am completely worn out since we practiced so much and the day of the performance is nearing......... 9th February. Pooooooooooo my exams >_<

I went skiing... well snowboarding during the holiday week we had. Very bad................ like not only were the slopes not beginner like but I was learning how to snowboard myself -_-" balance is so important.......... it's scary but I will be trying again for the last time this year next weekend.

I sat the test for my Korean class and it wasn't all that difficult... well the writing scared me and so did the reading and I thought that was what I was good at. Speaking was a little daunting, not bad at all though. I got 91.5 or something out of 100 overall. I think they have some (excuse me) dodgy way of marking because I for one am not the kind that gets that good, especially speaking. I wonder how I got that mark.

The hard thing about Korean is the sequence. Mostly it is fine but there are a few sentences that I've read that were quite hard to decode -_-" The vocabulary is also hard because my brain is dead. My speaking has always been slow. Mostly because of my personality, I don't speak that much so the speaking practice part is rather difficult.

OOO which reminds me, I have successfully completed all my subjects for my uni course so now I am ready to graduate!!!! I got two HDs and a D for my final semester. O jolllllllllllly but too bad my gpa is 2.91/4............. I really wanted 3 but I guess that can't be helped -_-"

But as a result of my hardworking...ness... my eyes are screwed. I need to use my glasses during class, otherwise I can't see the board. Who would've thought I needed them until now -_-' No one really <_<<<<<<<<<<

I eat in mostly because no one goes out to eat really......................... everyone seems to like to eat in -_-'.... but I absolutely love Korean supermarkets. I've been to like 5 different ones ^-^ happy happy happy meee... but that reminds me... I need to go again :(

I love Daiso too but these days I've run out of things buy <_<

I like the shooting star flavour at Baskin Robbins

I like the fresh cream puff thingies... at Paris Baguette...

K I'm tired............. I'll be back...

What's Next Comes Next
CURRENTLY @ WORK

So I have abandoned you again -_-"

Well you can't blame me because I have so much uni work to do it's scary!

Anyway, I got confirmation that I will be able to stay at the graduate dormitory at Ewha during the winter session for the ELC classes~~~ Lucky me ! So I made payment to Ewha straightaway ... well almost straightaway! That means I will receive confirmation by next week. Which is good because now I can just focus on preparing for going to Korea between now and the time I leave.

Hammy is going to buy me a note/netbook. We were looking at purchasing from catchoftheday.com.au but we were a bit late to getting the offer for the Acer Timeline 1810T that was on sale for $799 + shipping. I asked my dad to ask around and he informed me that he wouldn't be able to get that price after calling up numerous places. BUT he called me like an hour and a half after the offer ended! So boo for me -__-"

I still really want it so hopefully there will be another offer, even if elsewhere. Otherwise, I will have it shipped from USA... although my dad doesn't like the idea of the warranty thing not really working over here and probably moreso in Korea... I want ruby red to match the colour of my phone!

Anyway, from now until the day I leave, I need to do a number of things. I will need to:
  • compile a list of stuff to bring (or at least complete that list)
  • find the best prepaid sim that lasts for a year so I can port my number across so my brother can't use my number!
  • write a schedule for the things I need to do when I get there (banking, mobile and registration, etc...)
  • make copies of my documents to bring
  • apply and receive a token for acccessing my accounts while I'm over there
  • print my e-ticket!!!!!
  • purchase a laptop/netbook.. whatever -_-"
  • find out more about banking and mobile phone stuff~
  • go out with Hammy all the time
Yup I think that's all.... but I might be missing something...

I am purchasing some goodies from Gmarket on Sunday ^-^ A batch containing my stuff, hammy's stuff and my sister's stuff!!!

I should save my money and spend it there..... but how can one resist Gmarket?

P.S. Daylight Savings lost me an hour of sleep. Sleep deprived me is adorably bad !_!

I haven't had any food or water this morning! I'm kind of hungry... what should I eat????

I need to do my assignments :( Have to finish my SITP parts and my j2ee documentation next Monday. This Saturday I will need to do my technology strategy journal POOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoo

I'm Back To Continue
CURRENTLY @ WORK

Hehehe I've taken a long break from blogging here. It's been almost a month... a month too long.

This marks the 65th day to the day I go to Korea!

Initially my contract was meant to end last Friday on the 25th but some weeks ago, it got renewed. So now I will work until the last full week of November which means my last day is the 27th November.

Work is quite boring yet sometimes full of work. Work pays well but I am sleep deprived as I am close to finishing my degree!

Last year was a tiring year but a year I could deal well with. This year has been the worst ever so much that I crave sleep and a life outside of craving sleeping.

Maybe I shouldn't neglect my blogggggg so much.

On a more fun part of my recent days, I have been investing at least an hour on Monopoly City Streets horhorrrrrrrrrrrr. Yea ok so I'm not gaining as much as some people but I am fairing .. ok .. enough to keep me scared of being sabotaged but not bored enough to have so much to spend. It's fun especially because it's not a game where I need to play hours and hours each day. Please don't sabotage me -__-" ... anymore... whoever that person is.....

On reality, I'm almost all set with the preparations for my trip. Initially I thought getting the visa would take a month but it seems to be quite a short time to get one. I will get it on Wednesday. Hopefully they will give me a D4 or even one at all; though I don't see why they wouldn't,  but we'll see.

On shopping, I think I have made my mind up to get a laptop or I should say, a netbook. I'm currently looking at the Acer Aspire 1810T (1410) and thee HP Mini 311. Both are really attractive... not just the cosmetic side but also the practicality. Hammy might get me one or he might not, but it doesn't change the fact that I want to get one.

About cameras........ I've taken a break from getting one but maybe I will come back to it in the next month.

Looking at my earlier post...
Between this time, I need to first apply for Ewha language centre. Get accepted, pay the tuition fees, get my acceptance letter and then apply for a visa. Before working out my accommodation and packing my luggage as minimal as possible… which seems impossible right now. If for any reason I do not get accepted into Ewha then I will try for Sogang! But let’s hope for the best!
I have already applied to Ewha and paid for the tuition. I have also applied for my visa. So all I have left is waiting to see whether I will be staying at the dorm or not. Hopefully I will!

I probably need to take a new passport like photo ^_^ I keep re-using my old one from last year. Plus those photos don't cost a lot... just 15c a sheet of 8 photos.

I have plenty of time for all the preparations.

I just need to be more proactive in finishing uni!!!!
